Patrol

Patrol consists of 16 uniform Patrol Officers. Four are Sergeants or Shift Commanders, their job is assure that all calls are answered, paperwork is completed, Officers concerns are addressed, assist with patrol duties when needed and to assist the Chief of Police.
The rest of the patrol force is ranked as follows; Corporals, Patrol 3, Patrol 2, Patrol 1 and Recruit.

Each Officer must be certified at a State approved Academy prior to wearing a uniform or to carry a duty weapon.

A Patrolman must be certified in areas such as Police Subject Control, use of OC spray, handgun and patrol rifle use, Active Shooter procedures, emergency vehicle operation, DUI, Radar operation. They must received training in many others areas such as report writing, constitutional law, drug recognition and apprehension, community policing, computer operation.

There are four shifts, each shift has four Officers who work a twelve-hour shift.

The Patrol Division is a highly trained and dedicated group of people who takes pride in helping others and in being "Professional" in their day to day duties.
